Not Financial Advice
Nothing in the Service — text, fees, examples, default values, suggested parameters, FAQ answers, or any other on-screen content — constitutes financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice. We are not your broker, advisor, or fiduciary. You should consult independent professionals before making any decision involving real value.
You Can Lose Everything
Memecoins are highly speculative. Most launched tokens go to zero. Most never have meaningful trading volume. There is no such thing as a guaranteed-profitable token launch, and no relationship between a token's on-chain mechanics (supply, decimals, metadata) and its ability to retain or accrue value.
Funds you commit to creating a token, seeding a pool, paying fees, conducting an airdrop, or holding any token in your wallet are entirely at risk. Plan to lose the full amount. If losing it would harm you, do not commit it.
Solana Transactions Are Permanent
Once a Solana transaction confirms, it cannot be undone, modified, or reversed by Forge, by Solana validators, or by Solana itself. This includes — and is most painful with — irreversible actions surfaced through Forge:
- Burn LP — permanently destroys the LP tokens. The underlying liquidity becomes unrecoverable by anyone, including you. Used as a "rug-proof" signal but irreversible the second you sign.
- Lock LP via Raydium — escrows the LP under Raydium's lock program with no unlock date. The underlying tokens stay locked forever. Holding the lock NFT lets you claim trading fees but never withdraw the principal.
- Revoke mint authority / freeze authority — cannot be undone. Set authority to null = no future minting or freezing, ever.
- Update metadata immutability — once an SPL token's metadata is marked immutable, on-chain edits stop forever.
- Airdrop — once a transfer confirms, the recipient holds the token. Reversing requires their cooperation; there is no protocol-level clawback.
Read every confirmation dialog before signing. The cost of a misclick on mainnet is whatever the action's effect is, in real money, forever.
The Lock NFT Is the Key — Don't Lose It
When you lock LP, Raydium mints an NFT to your wallet. That NFT is the only artifact that grants ongoing rights to claim trading fees from the locked liquidity. Anyone holding the NFT can claim those fees.
- If you lose the wallet that holds the NFT, the future fees are unrecoverable.
- If you sign a transfer, send, or "approve all" transaction with the NFT, you give those rights to whoever you signed for.
- Forge does not store, back up, or have any ability to reissue the NFT.
We strongly recommend transferring the lock NFT to a hardware wallet (Ledger, Keystone) shortly after locking, and keeping the receiving wallet's seed phrase in offline cold storage.
Third-Party Protocol Risk
Forge composes several independent on-chain protocols and off-chain services. Each has its own risk profile:
- Solana — network congestion, outages, validator misbehaviour, or RPC failures may cause your transaction to drop, succeed late, or behave unexpectedly. We do not run Solana.
- Raydium — pool creation, liquidity locking, and fee claiming are governed by Raydium's CPMM and LOCK_CPMM programs. Bugs, exploits, governance changes, or program upgrades in Raydium directly affect any pool or lock you create.
- Metaplex — token metadata is stored on-chain via Metaplex Token Metadata. Bugs or upgrades there may affect how your token displays in wallets and explorers.
- Pinata / IPFS — your logo and metadata JSON are pinned to IPFS via Pinata. If Pinata or your chosen gateway goes offline, your logo may temporarily fail to display. The data itself is content-addressed and can be re-pinned elsewhere.
- RPC providers — public RPCs rate-limit and time out. Paid RPCs can have outages. A failed RPC call is not a Forge bug; it's a transport failure.
Forge cannot warrant the behaviour of any of these systems. Smart contract risk is the user's risk.
Devnet vs. Mainnet
Forge supports devnet and testnet for free testing. Devnet is a staging network with disposable SOL — it is the right place to learn the flows and verify your token configuration. Devnet activity is not visible on mainnet, has no economic value, and can be reset by Solana at any time.
When you switch to mainnet, real SOL is at stake on every action. We strongly recommend completing the full Create → Pool → Burn or Lock → Airdrop sequence on devnet at least once before any mainnet launch. The Service's header surfaces the active network — verify before signing.
No Endorsement of Tokens or Users
Forge does not endorse, vet, audit, or validate any token created with the Service. The presence of a token in your wallet, in the "My Tokens" tab, in a recent-mints list, or anywhere else inside Forge is not an indication of safety, legitimacy, or value. Treat every token — including ones you didn't create — as untrusted until you have personally reviewed its on-chain behaviour and metadata.
Tax Obligations
Token creation, sales, swaps, fee receipt, and airdrops may all be taxable events depending on your jurisdiction. Forge does not provide tax reporting, 1099-style forms, or tax advice. You are responsible for keeping records and complying with the tax laws that apply to you.
Phishing and Wallet Drainer Risk
Crypto users are a common phishing target. Be especially cautious of:
- URLs that look like Forge but aren't — always verify the domain in your browser's address bar.
- Browser extensions claiming to be wallets or wallet helpers; install only from official sources.
- Transactions that ask for "set authority", "approve all", or "transfer NFT" permissions you didn't initiate.
- DMs, support tickets, or social-media accounts claiming to represent Forge — we never DM users first and never ask for seed phrases.
If a transaction prompt doesn't match what you intended to do, reject it.
